This is a how-to guide for calibrating your Acaia Lunar, Lunar 2021, Pearl, Pearl Model S, Pearl 2021 or Pyxis scale.
With regular use of your Acaia scale, it is important to perform regular calibration to assure your scale stays accurate. It is recommended to use an F1 or F2 class calibration weight such as the 100g weight that comes with the Acaia Lunar or the 500g weight, both available using these links: 100g calibration weight | 500g calibration weight
Smart Calibration
Before you begin calibration it's highly recommended to check your unit is up to date with the latest firmware, this can be done using the Acaia Update or Pearl Updater apps. Both apps are available on the Google Play and Apple App store.
On the Acaia scales, it is possible to perform a quick calibration called a smart calibration. Below is a short video showing the steps to do this :
Steps to complete a smart calibration:
- Find a quiet environment with a stable surface with as little background noise as possible (This is important as even small interference such as someone working on a desktop can cause inaccuracies in the calibration due to the sensitivity of Acaia Scales).
- Make sure your scale is in "Weight only" mode, this is the mode that displays only the weight and nothing else as a "0.0" on your screen. The mode can be changed by long-pressing the power button.
- Rapidly press the T button 6-7 times until the scale displays "CAL". From here the scale will display a number such as "100" or "500", but any F1 or F2 class weights that are 100, 300, 500, 1000, or 1500 grams will work.
- Place your weight on the middle of the weighing surface until the calibration is complete and the scale displays "_End_"
